Try the Carticipate iPhone app or other carpooling/ridesharing apps. Stefan Frost, CEO of Carticipate, spoke about localizing Carticipate at the October 2009 IMUG meeting.

Mass transit:

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority logoThe Light Rail 902 line stops at the Lockheed Martin Station, which is within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance from Yahoo!.

The Valley Transit Authority also offers bus and Paratransit options, including the 26 and 54 lines which stop about 8 minutes and 16 minutes walking distance from Yahoo! respectively.

Restaurants:

Java Drive in Sunnyvale [map and restaurant list] including sushi, Subway and falafel, and there is a Togos and other eateries a bit farther away. They do mostly lunch business, so you may want to call to find out which of these you can plan on being open before or after our evening events.
