Most of our meetings are in the East Tower (blue dot) at 321 Park Ave. Check Meetup to confirm. Note the garage entrances (red dots) shown on the map above: the one on South Almaden Boulevard will be most convenient, but either one works. Tell security you are attending the IMUG event hosted by Ken Lunde. Being on the RSVP list will speed your entry.

RSVP for IMUG Events on Meetup Please RSVP via Meetup by 4:30 PM two days before the event to help IMUG and our hosts prepare badges for you in advance. After that time it's still OK to RSVP right up to the last minute, as that will help us ensure enough space and supplies for everyone!

Join, renew or pay event feesAdmission is free for the December event and always free for host staff. IMUG talks are free for members, and $5 for non-members. IMUG membership is only $20/year, $15/renewal, or $100 for lifetime membership. Click here to join, renew or pay a single non-member event fee. Give yourself extra time to get into downtown San Jose! Some ideas for getting there on-time and unstressed:

California carpool sign, released under public license via Wikimedia CommonsCarticipateMany people will be carpooling to IMUG events!

Post a comment on Meetup after you RSVP, or feel free to contact us and ask that we post a "seeking a carpool" message on our forums/lists/networks.

Try the Carticipate iPhone app or other carpooling/ridesharing apps. Stefan Frost, CEO of Carticipate, spoke about localizing Carticipate at the October 2009 IMUG meeting.

Mass transit:

Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority logoThe Light Rail 901 line and and 902 line both stop at the Convention Center Station quite close to Adobe

The CalTrain San Jose Diridon Station is not far and has the added advantage of being close to the Poor House Bistro restaurant. (See Restaurants below.)

The Valley Transit Authority also offers bus and Paratransit options.

Restaurants, cafés and pubs:

There are several good places to eat within walking distance of Adobe - just park at Adobe, then walk to get dinner. This list, from one of our Adobe hosts, is ranked from closest to farthest:

Specialty's ("Peet's Coffee & Tea" is inside)
Pizza Chicago
Erik's Delicafe
Johnny Rockets
Tandoori Oven
Poor House Bistro (a block from the CalTrain station)
